Knowing how to complete a task or getting a degree that proves you know how to do a task? What exactly is education? If the first definition is education for you, why are we all in this rat race of formal education? Why are kids having to go through years of formal education most of which is either not taught the right way or is useless after the exams?
I have heard people saying that this formal education is what makes humans mature, creates bonding with people and helps them grow irrespective of the actual content or subject they study at school. I wonder if this is the only way to gain all that? Aren’t there examples of scholars and brilliant leaders from our history who have had absolutely no formal education? If yes, why do we then still stick to this?
Sometimes I feel we do not need any institutions at all. And sometimes I feel without institutions there is no structure. What are your thoughts? What do you think should change and more importantly, how can You and I change this?

The way kids are taught in our schools is kuch different than how they are taught in Developed countries, first we need to elevate our level of education to that level, where kids would start loving going to school rather than it being a pain for them.
A more practical approach to teaching is required by our teachers, they have to be innovative.
Agreed. More practical teaching = more fun. So what can we do to make this happen? I am not 100% sure about the developed countries part though, any references that I can look up on the education system in developed countries?
Education should be more practical than theoretical. Students right from school should be learnt to explore than stick to what is taught in books and vomit it out in exams.
